Information Technology

The rapid pace of development in information and communications technology (ICT) is having a major influence on many aspects of society. Not only does ICT provide the capacity to change how tasks and activities are undertaken, but it also creates new opportunities in work, education, entertainment and society. At Trafalgar High School we endeavour to equip students with the appropriate knowledge and skills to use the technology responsibly and to make informed personal and workplace choices about developments in this exciting field.

At Trafalgar High School the Information Technology course is designed to enable students to:

  • use ICT to develop and represent their thinking visually.
  • use ICT to create problem solutions and information products, ranging from simple to more complex ones.
  • use online environments and tools to research, communicate and share information and knowledge.
