Health and Physical Education
The Health & Physical Education Key Learning domain covers the subject areas of Physical Education, Sport, Health and Outdoor Education. Learning in these subject areas lays the foundations for the development of fundamental or basic motor skills that will assist students to participate in physical activity and in a healthy and active lifestyle. Knowledge, skills and behaviours developed in this stage form the basis for future learning, and contribute to a student’s physical, social, emotional and cognitive development and wellbeing.
At Trafalgar High School the Health and Physical Education course is designed to:
- Provide students with the opportunity to participate in Physical activities on a regular basis.
- Allow students to build on or develop their basic motor skills through sequential program planning
- Provide students with an opportunity to gain an understanding of their own physical, mental and social health through involvement in both practical and non practical areas.
